Battle Tower is a castle-defense game made by WozJobs Inc ("we", "us"). By playing Battle Tower — on a device or in a browser — you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not play. Our privacy policy explains what data the game collects and is part of these terms.
Battle Tower is free to play. It shows advertisements, and offers two kinds of optional purchase, described below: Remove Ads, and packs of Forge credits. There are no subscriptions and no loot boxes, and no purchase changes the rules, units or balance of any battle. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play the game for your own entertainment. The game, its artwork, music, code and the Battle Tower name remain our property or that of our licensors; these terms give you no right to copy, sell, redistribute or make derivative works from them.
Remove Ads is a single, one-time purchase. It removes the advertisements the game would otherwise show you between battles and during a run, and lets you scout the next age without watching a video. Videos you choose to watch remain: restoring a missed daily streak still takes one. The purchase does not change the rules, units or balance of any battle, and it is not a subscription: you pay once.
In the iOS and Android apps the purchase is made through the App Store or Google Play, charged by Apple or Google under their terms, in your local currency at the price shown before you buy. In the browser it is made through Stripe, our payment processor, and requires a Battle Tower account. Taxes may be added where they apply.
A purchase made in an app is kept with your App Store or Google Play account and can be restored on your devices from the game's profile screen. When you are signed in to a Battle Tower account, the purchase also applies wherever you sign in to that account. Deleting your Battle Tower account removes our record of the purchase; a purchase made in an app remains restorable from the store it was bought in.
Refunds for purchases made in the App Store or Google Play are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. For a purchase made in the browser, contact us at the address below. A refunded purchase no longer removes advertisements. Nothing in this section limits rights you have under the consumer law of the place where you live.
The Forge lets a signed-in player describe a character and have it designed by an AI model. Each variation the Forge runs is charged what it cost to make: the price of the model calls that produced it, converted to credits at the rate the Forge shows, with the exact figure shown on every variation and every line — typically a fraction of a credit, its visual check charged the same way. You choose whether a line runs one variation or two side by side; each variation, change or visual check needs at least one available credit to start. The full cost is charged even if it takes your balance below zero. Further paid Forge work requires enough added credits to cover that balance and leave the required starting credit available. A visual check without enough available credits is skipped; you keep the character with a note that it was not checked. A variation is charged only when it produces a character; a variation that is refused, fails or is stopped costs nothing. A new account starts with five credits. Credits are sold in packs of a fixed, stated size: you receive exactly the number of credits shown before you buy, nothing random. Credits can be spent only inside the game: on the Forge and, where the Market is open to your account, on characters other players have listed (see below). Credits have no cash value, do not expire while your account exists, and can never be withdrawn, paid out, gifted or converted into money or anything else of value outside the game. Characters you forge or buy can be fielded only in single-player modes (Conquest battles against the computer and the Forge's Test Drive), never in an online match or in ranked play, so no credit buys an advantage over another player.
Credit packs are bought the same way as Remove Ads: through the App Store or Google Play in the apps, through Stripe in the browser, in your local currency at the price shown before you buy, with taxes added where they apply. A pack requires a Battle Tower account, because the credits are kept on the account and follow you to every device you sign in on. Deleting your account forfeits any unspent credits. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, or by us for a purchase made in the browser; a refunded pack removes whatever credits from it remain unspent.
Characters you forge are kept on your Battle Tower account and follow you to every device you sign in on; deleting your account deletes them. You own the characters you make. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, reproduce and distribute them inside the game and the online service — including, where the Market is open to your account, to show them to other players and to deliver copies to players who buy them. Characters are designed by an AI model from your description and must follow the game's rules: nothing hateful, sexual, threatening or infringing, no real people, no hate symbols or extremist imagery, nothing beyond the cartoon-fantasy level the game is rated for, and no impersonation. Descriptions and names pass through a word filter, and the game asks for your agreement before a description is sent to the AI providers. Anyone can report a character from its card in the game; we read every report, and we may hide or remove any character that breaks these rules or the law, and reverse any sale of it.
Where the Market is open to your account, you may list a character you forged yourself at a price you set in Forge credits, within the limits the game shows. A copy bought from the Market belongs to the buyer's account for their own play: it cannot be re-listed or sold on, and neither can a character revised from it. When a copy is sold, 90% of the price is credited to the seller in Forge credits after the holding period the game states, and the remaining 10% is retained by us. Proceeds may be reversed if the purchase that paid for them is refunded or the listing is removed for breaking these terms; a buyer whose copy is removed for that reason is refunded in credits. Purchases of characters are otherwise final. Credits received from sales are ordinary Forge credits: they can be spent in the game and never withdrawn or paid out.
You must be at least 13 years old to play online or create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only play with the consent of a parent or guardian.
Single-player needs no account. Online play (the ranked ladder and friend matches) requires a free account with a verified email address. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for what happens under your account. You can permanently delete your account at any time from your profile inside the game, as described in the privacy policy.
Online matches depend on everyone playing the same game. You agree not to:
We may reset ratings affected by abuse and may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules. Where practical we will tell you why.
We aim to keep the online service running, but it is provided free and we do not promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may change the game — including balance, units, ratings maths and features — or suspend or discontinue the online service at any time. Ratings, tiers and ladder standings are gameplay statistics, not property, and have no monetary value.
You can stop playing, and delete your account, at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the online service if you materially breach these terms. The sections of these terms that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive termination.
The game and the online service are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WozJobs Inc will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or any loss of data or ratings, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the game. Our total liability for any claim relating to the game is limited to CAD $50. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and of the province in which WozJobs Inc is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
If these terms change, the new version is posted at this address with an updated effective date. Continuing to play after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms; if you do not, stop playing and delete your account.
